Privacy Policy

Effective date:  July 27, 2026

JobDock is a Chrome extension that helps job seekers tailor their resume, cover letter, and application answers using AI. This policy explains what information we collect when you use JobDock, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only what's needed to make JobDock work for you:

  • Account information. Your email address (via Supabase Auth), which supports Google OAuth as well as email and password sign-in.
  • Resume content. The resume files you upload (PDF or DOCX) and the structured data we parse from them.
  • Your AI memory. Any career-context text you choose to paste in from your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.). Nothing is scraped automatically — you copy and paste what you want to share.
  • Job posting content. Text from job postings you scan, processed at the moment you click Scan.
  • Application questions and answers. The question text you send to JobDock and the answers we generate for you.
  • Basic usage data. Scan counts, used to enforce the free-tier weekly limit.

How we use your information

We use your information to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and application answers. To do that, relevant content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing.

Your data is not used to train AI models beyond your own session. We send it, we get results back, and we return those results to you.

Where your data is stored

Your account data is stored in Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database) with row-level security enabled. This means each user can only access their own data — no other JobDock user can read your resume, memory, or generated content.

Resume files are stored in a private, non-public storage bucket. They are not accessible via a public URL.

Third-party services

JobDock relies on a small number of third-party services:

  • Anthropic — AI processing (Claude API), used to generate resumes, cover letters, and answers.
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Paddle — payment processing, for future paid plans. No payment information is collected today.

We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Browser storage

The extension uses your browser's local storage to keep track of onboarding progress and session state (for example, which step of setup you've completed). This local storage is cleared when you sign out.

Your rights and choices

You can request access to your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@jobdock.pro.

Deleting a resume from within JobDock removes the associated stored file and parsed data. Deleting your account removes your stored resumes, memory, and generated content.

Children

JobDock is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here and update the effective date at the top.
